Catch Up

Well, so much for the "I'm going to write something every Sunday promise". What a failure so far, however its Sunday today and so I'll do a little catch up with events.

Since writing last, I went to see my favourite band, The Young Knives do a signing in Leeds. I was very pleased when I had a wee chat to Henry, House and Olly. I've got a bit braver at doing things like that. A year ago I would have had to have been drunk as a skunk to be able to approach anyone I even vaguely admired, but in my year fo doing new things, I've forced myself to be braver.

The best part of this was going backstage in Bradford and "hanging out" for about 15mins. Check out the picture above and the bloomin massive grin on my face. The Other is of the baboon and Henry. Henry looks grumpy, but he was far from it. I have to say a very chatty, nice fella.

Anyway, so since the last post I have a few happy weight loss stylee news items. The first is that I've reached my first goal of losing 25lbs, infact I've now lost 1st 11.5lbs! The second is that I finally managed to fit into a size 22 pair of jeans! The third was that they were from DOROTHY PERKINS!!!! I cried in the changing rooms I was so pleased.

Soooo that's 2&1/2lbs to 2 stone and 5&1/2lbs to my 10% goal. That said, I don't hold out much for wednesdays weigh in. Friday was a bit of a mammoth drinking session which resulted in me becoming obsessed with the kareoke in the local gay pub The Little John. It was their first birthday and we heard that Andy Bell from Erasure was there. He was and I saw him, but in my drunken mind, it became more important to get on the kareoke than meeting Andy Bell. Why oh why??? I love Andy Bell. Needless to say, they wouldn't let me on the kareoke, probably because I was a bit too merry for them to understand my handwriting or just a bit too rowdy to handle. They certainly didn't think I was up to the task of performing Annie Lennox! next time my pretties, next time!
